Various Artists Brewing
Brand Identity / Environmental Graphics / Merchandise
Eight breweries. One beer. And a pretty good reason to bring them together.
A brewer who was also a tree surgeon. A musician who was also a chef. An unlikely pairing, perhaps, but a pretty good foundation for a brewery.
Various Artists brought together craft beer, food, vinyl records, and a particularly inviting beer garden in a tucked-away corner of Nashville. The brewery had already established its name, concept, and an initial identity. The opportunity was to give that personality a stronger visual presence.
A new combination mark brought together circular typography and a symbol inspired by the familiar 45 RPM record adapter. The identity extended into merchandise, glassware, tablecloths, and a large exterior mural, connecting the brewery's musical influences to the experience of being there.
Various Artists lasted just two years, but developed a devoted following, weathered the pandemic, and made an impression well beyond its out-of-the-way location.
Some places don't need a long run to leave a mark.
